I have this problem a lot being the only girl in a gym full of guys. If you change the angle of the armbar, they will have significantly less strength. Instead of going straight back, position your body so you angle towards either the head or feet. The slight change makes their arm weaker so the various grip breaks will be more effective. I also x-break often and if it doesn't break the grip I can at least easily transition to the triangle. Hope these ideas help!
