So you wanna be a fucking fighter?
Just to clarify something: I would never try to dissuade anyone from pursuing their dream, but the reality is; most guys who make a move to a "major" camp already have some experience and skills. Being 23, packing up and moving to LA or NYC or anywhere, without ANY training is a recipe for disaster if you're not prepared. Without a job, or any way of supporting yourself you will just be another student with academy dues to pay each month. School owners won't let you train for free or invest a lot of additional effort in someone who is brand new. Now, if you had a good job lined up where you could support yourself and could move, or already had 1-3 years of training and experience, then it may be worth your while and the school's. It makes more sense to get some good training and guidance from a more local academy, THEN possibly move to HQ. All I'm saying is don't just fly by the seat of your pants without a plan or some guidance. There is a lot to be said for taking a risk and jumping in the deep end, but a LOT of others do the same and have nothing to fall back on in support. If you train at 10th Planet Indy or somewhere local for a year or two, save up some cash and THEN move to HQ or somewhere of your choosing with a base of skill and some experience, I feel that would serve you better. Ultimately, you are your own person and will decide what to do, but whatever you do, just don't half-ass it.
Be Well, and good luck!
