Yeah I have a high Metabolism too. I burn about 3100 calories a day. That is a handicap for us. The only answer is we just have to eat more. Point blank, sorry. As far as protien goes, you dont need much. To Maintain muscle one should consume 30mg per kg of body mass. That means if I walk around at 165 then I am 75kgs of body mass. 30mg x 75kg = 2250mg Thats only 2.25 grams a day. Thats a qurter cup of Black Beans a day. Now recommended daily intake to gain muscle for someone thats trains 5-10 hours a week is .7g for every pound of body weight. so if I weigh 165, I need to consume 115.5 grams of protien a day to gain muscle. 3 cups of peanuts contain about 120 grams of protien. So to Gain Muscle you only have to eat 3 cups of peanuts a day. Thats no where near the amount of protien that everyone thinks you need, and thats to GAIN Muscle. You could eat enough protien in a half cup of almonds or black beans a day to maintain your muscle mass.

You are right about how high priced organic food is. I think that Cashews are a bad example though, all nuts are expensive as hell. Organic or not. I am fortunate enough to have the ability to grow my own food. It takes one acre per person per yearto get threw a mild winter. Now if you grow crops through the winter like cabbage spinach brocolli lettuce ect. then you can grow all year and provide yourself food. It cost far far less to have an organic garden than you think. If you have the tools then all you spend money on is seed. After the seed has gown, you save seeds from the plant to use next year. You dont spend any money on fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. You compost your wastes to put nutrients back into the soil instead of fertilizers. The best way to water them is to put a huge 55 gallon drum in the middle of the garden to catch rain water, and use that to water your plants. It costs almost no money at all to grow your food organicaly. Growing your own food helps save the environment and ecosystems in your area, and also keeps money in your pocket.

See that's awesome I personally plan on growing my own fruits and vegetables as well but I still don't really buy that it may cost cheaper to organically grow your own food I understand that you don't need to buy fertilizers and such but I mean that it shouldn't be a whole lot cheaper I of course know once you set up shop and have the whole process going than yes in the long run it would be cheaper but I mean when you first start setting up I'm not sure but it probably cost a pretty penny to begin the process of setting up a garden that you plan on living off of for a little while.The main problem I have with organic food is that for us fortunate enough to even be able to discuss what foods we should eat is that same thing I have a problem with the fact that we can discuss what we should eat unlike other places and countries where people discuss about what they HAVE to eat to survive the day not even worrying about next week if there's a way for a starving child in Ethiopia or Dar fur to eat organic food than Im all for it but if all he can eat is non organic food than leave him be .See the main problem we can all agree with is over population back than we didn't need factories and corporations to feed us by the billions so that 2 out of 3 families didn't need to farm just to survive I'm sure many will disagree and many will agree with me that there are necessary evils in the world like natural disasters ,cancer, AIDS, STD'S, alcohol ,tobacco, its very devastating the effects these things can have on the world but can you imagine if nobody died ever? can you imagine if people just in the US alone didn't die around 500,000 times a year just from alcohol and tobacco? think of it how you want population control or whatever but the fact remains over population doesn't help anybody especially when the majority of those people are just consumers.

overpopulation is not an issue. We have enough food, we have an access to food issue, which again comes down to poverty. African kids (or most other similar nations) don't need "organic" food, they need to be left in control of their own resources. Most of the hunger issues around the world are due to the "west" abusing and exploiting the workers and governments to get control of the resources.

As for the fact that organic cost more is a bit of a relative argument. North Americans spend the lowest per capita on food, less than 10%. It's not so much that organic is expensive as it is that "conventional" food is dirt cheap. Not only that, I have a premium body, it deserves premium fuel.

Seriously you can start your own organic garden that will provide through the winter for about 200 bucks man. For real, I strated over an acre for less than $200. Its amazing how easy it is to provide for yourself. The Earth just gives it to you.

Beef contains around 20 complete protein. Spirilina contains 70% complete protein plus a whole load of vitamins and minerals you don't get from meat. Since I have been vegetarian I'm still the same weight and build but I definetly feel like my energy levels are higher. If you do the research it is possible to have a diet that is way more nutritious then anything meat can give you.

No I do not agree and I would be extremly carefull with that line of thought. I wonder if you would feel the same if it was someone you loved who was hurting, crying out in pain and then died in front of your eyes? Would you think that is a neccesary evil?

Unfortunetly it's too much to write in a comment but when you really look into it overpopulation is a complete lie in my opinion. Estimates have shown the entire worlds population can actually fit into the state of Texas. The actual problem is so much of the worlds soil has been ruined. Particulary in Africa. So we can't grow things there. Remember deserts are man made. Also if you have ever seen the figures of how much food is produced in the West and how much is actually wasted it's astonishing. Also the corrupt leaders of these starving countries are quite happy to spend billions on Weapons and their Palaces but not on feeding their own people. There IS enough money and enough food to go around but the worlds Governments are greedy and corrupt so people starve and die. Over-population is a myth in my view.

Do you know of any good websites or recipes for vegan lifestyles preferably a website cause I'm sure some guys here might know of a good one and also I don't plan on being vegan but I have always planned on eating vegan like before tournaments or fights to get that cleansed body while pushing my body to the max safely and having the nutrition to support it but who knows it might stick with me I just don't see myself not enjoying a 16 oz Skirt Steak or Fillet Mignon just to damn good to pass up lol

I checked up more on over population and yeah I'd have to agree it is not a truly real dilemma but like most of you have said it's poverty and corruption of different area that really affect the people but there is one form of necassary evil I'll never back down from and that's natural selection meaning the Darwin Awards now if you think that's not necassary than by all means just keep spreading that dumb neanderthal gene around and have your own kids be contestants for the Awards lol

Again this is a subject far too big for a comment. It's worth many lectures! But Survival of the fittest in humans is not as clear cut as you might think? 99.99% of people in the West (according to various studies) in the world are chronically nutrient difficient. They do not get adequete education or enough exercise. Now if everyone had those things would so many of these so called 'dumb' people you speak of exist? Unlikely in my opinion. I'm assuming you do not consider yourself dumb? Why? What kind of society did you grow up in? What kind of society did your parents grow up in? What opportunitys did they have and you have that others did not? There are so many factors to consider beyond a simple genetic code. Would you be dumb if you were adopted by dumb people as a baby and raised in a dumb environment? If so that would indictate environmental factors that contibute toward intelligence not simply your DNA. I would research the effect of nutrition on brain function and overall intelligence as well. Trust me you have been mislead on the process for natural selection as it applies to humans. What about a sick child? Should we let it die because it's so called inferior genetics mean it's a necessary evil that it dies for the sake of the human race? Of course not we have the means to heal the weak and the sick and make them strong! I think your confusing humans with animals who do not posess the ability to reason nor have the same means to treat their offsping. Many big strong intelligent adults whom you would consider 'fittest of the race' have been sickly and/or dumb children. I think you need to seriously research your beliefs because they appear quite ignorant and very disturbing in my opinion.

Now I'm assuming you haven't heard of the Darwin Awards check it out it's quite amusings it awards given to people who have died some of the stupidest ways possible like putting a rocket on a car and driving into a hillside going so fast his brakes didn't work and his tires had melted off to the rim . Like I said with all due respect I think for the moment your highly ignorant on the subject. I'm not sure you fully understand the concept of Darwinism.

There is a ton of evidence that Intelligence is largely environmental not purely down to your DNA. A simple example is if we get someone of so called good genetics (male) and then never teach them to read or write or learn language skills and do not feed them enough so their growth is stunted as 4 foot 5 or something. As a result of that they appear dumb and do stupid things in their life. Should they not breed so as not to pass on their inferior genetics? Going back 10 generations no-one in my family on both my parents side ever went to University. The men were also quite small. Now I'm 6'1 and did a degree in History at one of the best Universitys in the UK. So what does that tell you?

Regarding people doing stupid things there are so many factors as to why people would do such a thing. Ignorance is not the same as stupidity. People can do many insane things. I once climed a lampost when I was drunk and hung upside down when I was a teenager. Obviously I could have been killed but hey I survived and have never done it since. I have also done one handed hadnstand at the end of an 8 foot brick wall whilst drunk too when I was younger. What people do when they are drunk is obviously different from how they would behave if they were sober. My partner will finish her Masters in Photonics later this year. If we ever have kids would they be dumb because according to you I have a bad genetic code and have done stupid things that almost got me killed. Therefore my kids would likely be dumb right? They would bring down the human species according to you.

You sound young so I hope as you get older you and expand your knowledge base further you will realise not everything is as black and white as it may appear and that human life is scared and precious. It is something to be treasured not dismissed when you perceive it as a inconvieniece. Well I was hoping you realized I was saying it with a sense of humor I clearly said I'm no eugenicist meaning I don't believe in intelligence being genetic or that we shouldn't let "dumb" people procreate that is not my view what I meant is people with ridiculous memes such as racism and sexicism passing them to their kids and then to their kids just creating a long chain of ignorant kids who hopefully learn better when they grow up but fact is most of them don't I mean there's still some places in the world where women can't vote where slaves still exist and where raping and pillaging is a lifestyle like I said before I don't believe everyone should be having kids and please don't put words in my mouth when you don't know what I'm talking about I was trying to give a comical viewpoint but you clearly missed that and took it literal but don't worry I'm not fretting were just having a friendly discussion is all I can imagine it's hard to read someone correctly through a computer screen

You see thats the problem though. If every one keeps choosing to eat non-organic, they support sooooo many unmoral acts. If more people ate organic, there would be more organic farms. More farms equal lower price too.

This is where we get into some actual danger zone. If there's any sort of "pushing" of organic onto the non-organic eating community, it'd be like one religion trying to push its values onto people outside of said religion. Actrually it wasn't that clear. Maybe it was a joke or maybe your backtracking. I don't know and to be honest it really dosen't matter at this point anyway. You still wrote that you believe people suffering and dying is apparently a necessary evil for rest of us lucky Westerners on the planet. You seriously believe a persons right to live should be decided on their geographical location of which they have no control over? It's a necessary evil right? It's so easy to say that when your living thousands of miles away from the horror of it all in luxery and with none of your loved ones suffering and dying in front of you. I mean we deserve to live more then these poor people beacause we were born in a different part of the planet so it's tough luck to them I suppose using your logic.

Encouraging people to eat food that is not nutritionally depleted and ACTUALLY FOOD is nothing like pushing religion. I'd say it's closer to encouraging you not to smoke, or drink excessively. There are thousands of religions and absolutely no tangible proof of one over the other (proof or non proof of religion is not the debate here so don't bother) whereas with organic food we can absolutely beyond any doubt show that it is better nutritionally, environmentally and for the eco system in which it operates.

Listen James I'll admit I did back track but only on the over population becuase I was raised to believe (through media and articles) that over population was an issue but when you told me it wasnt or I think mike did than I quickly I checked more on it and said its apparently true that overpopulation isnt a that big of a problem so when I said that I still believe in natural selection alla Darwin Awards which if anybody has heard of it knows I was making a joke theres even a movie on it youd have a different response
