All for it :)
This sounds like a great idea. Should it be further categorized as to whether it is a sub-only match, because that can affect how you go about the match.
I really like what was said above about studying round by round info but no emphasis on final results.
This is bad ass!
Phill, send me a link of the match when you get a chance either via here, fb, or email, por favor senor. :)

I built a form but in hindsight it seems that there is a lot of information we don't need.
So here is what I propose.
There will be two sections
Sub only
Points tourney
The Sub only will have the following questions
Round #
Result (Win or Lose/Draw)
Method (Armbar, Twister, Draw)
The Points tourney will have the following questions
Round #
Result (Win or Lose)
Method (Armbar, Points)
I don't think the names are important because we are just collecting stats.
I am trying to find a way to make it so that it is quick to fill out (multiple matches) so if I include Demographic info they will have to fill that out for every round they enter.
Here is the original form
Here is the simple form.
At the end you'll see a summary.
In order to get the actual submissions in a pie chart we will have to build a dropdown list of all submissions.
That could take a while.
Just give me some feedback and we'll go from there.
I keep stats on all my rolls. Success rate, who subbed me with what, who I subbed with what, who I rolled with without any subs, how many rolls a session, etc. I run pareto charts in mini - tab (stat software) to see my highest percentages. ..who subs me the most, what subs I'm most susceptible to, etc. It helps me decide what to focus on. I keep the basic data in excel, then transfer it to mini - tab for analysis.
Yes sir...I'll record voice messages on the way home from practice to remind myself what happened. I even been subbed by things I didn't recognize...and I will ask the person exactly what they caught me with so I can capture the data. I do stats at work for a living...so it just always made sense to me to keep track of the data in this way.
