I recommend what we call the Leg Matrix: 24 bodyweight squats, 24 lunges (12 each leg), 24 high jumps, 24 frog jumps. No rest between moves, rest for 2x however long it took, and do it again.
I'm in the same situation. When I was in I sacrificed one of my bed sheets to use as a trx suspension trainer. tie it to the staircase on your bunk and you got a ton of different exercises. Roll up your mattress and tie the sheet around as a handle and have your cell mate provide resistance. sounds dumb but it was a lot more effective then I thought. Try to sneak a trash bag into your cell and fill it up as a water bag to substitute for weights. order the largest size slippers and cover them with socks to use as mitts. Run with sweats on during rec. Focus on animal exercises and doing leg work like squats, duck walks, ect. I went in to HCCC at 215 came out 6 weeks later at 165. It's all you can really do so might as well do it. Try to trade your food for fruit. and pound water.
Gearing up to go back in in late March so I know what your going through man. Look at it as an isolated opportunity to work on your mental, physical, and spiritual strength. The trx thing works good though.
assault 1 and 2 on an officer is gonna get you more than community service, but believe me I wish it were that simple.
but to answer your question jail tests you more spiritually then anything else so it's important to have something to shoot for so that while you do your time your not just wasting away. It helps keep you focussed on something positive instead of just breaking down, feeling sorry for yourself or getting comfortable with a situation that is anything but.
I was doing what was called time served which is when you do time before your sentenced with an actual crime. I'll probably plee bargain in the 3rd week of march but there maybe more time for me to serve other than my initial 6 weeks back in september and october.
Anything with body weight. You'll have plenty of time to go over all of them a few times over. Get used to bird baths and clean your cell(have a mop towel). You don't want to be that guy.
Just cause no one said it...
