First class back after knee surgery

I got to train for the first time since january last night. I got mat burn and loved it. I got my face smashed and ground, such an awesome feeling. I have never had as much inner peace as I did last night. I have missed the mats soooo much lol. The knee surgery has been alot bigger of a struggle on me than i could have imagined due to my PTSD issues. After last night I kinda feel like me again. The mats truly are therapy. Master Eddie, Coach Herzog, Denny, or anyone else that can give me a lil more insight to the peace that it brought me please do. This is the first time that I have had to take this much time off consecutively. I wish that I could convey the peace that I had. It's like nothing I can remember feeling before.:cool:

I envy you a bit, still wishing I could get on the mats.

I have had 2 weeks off myself to let my sternum heal, probably be off for another couple of weeks too. Shit is depressing LOL. On the upside, I have put new floors in the living room and a bedroom, caught up on some work, and got the wifey a new car, so kept myself quite productive so far haha. :)

I rolled twice in the last 2 months, my back has been killing me. I can't wait to get back to rolling, but I won't do it until my back is 100%. My hamstrings are tight as fuck so I'm focusing on getting them super flexible, I hope that's what's jacking my lower back, I have faith that it is, hopefully I'm back to sparring by the end of May. I envy you Brandon, congrats on your return :)

Congrats on makin it back to the mats Brandon :D Going down that mountain should be a lot better than it was going up it

That sux Master Eddie. I hope it gets better in a timely manner. I know all too well the issues that back problems cause. My lower back failed surgery from 2006 is what's causing my knees to go bad. I'm pretty jacked up from the waist down lol. Gotta love it:cool:

Well shit, for those that don't know I did the same thing to my right knee and am scheduled for surgery on July 9th.

Lets just replace every bone and joint in your body with titanium. Then, you'll be better than new... You may have to compete in the Pesadisimo Class and Super/Ultra Heavy, but I think you'll be ok. Heal Up soon brotha
