Wow! This kid is better than Vai. What a talent.
Very nice. His intonation with his trem technique is impressive. Sweeps were legit too.
Check this dude out I heard he trained quite a lot with Renato and/or Joey Karate

Thank for sharing. I love that song.
Well, it depends. When you are playing staccato notes at that tempo, it is often easier to move from the elbow (more tense than loose), rather than the wrist. If he were doing more economy picking, with hammer-ons/pull-offs, the wrist would be more efficient. I was a guitar instructor for years, and generally advise a looser, relaxed-arm approach, but sometimes for 32nd note runs at fast tempos, you just have to compensate.
Thanks for explaining. I just remember Paul Gilbert and how he had almost no arm movement.

Here is the Paul Gilbert video...

Yeah, Paul's playing more legato, at least in the first few minutes (didn't watch past that yet). It's more efficient, for sure. Man, he looks young here, and already throwing down!
I would say he is getting the hang of it. I would want to hear more. The 6/8 tempo kinda just drones along something a little more snappy and let him groove.
