I've been stretching hardcore for a few months now and was able to pull it off today:) I'm just a white belt in the 10th planet system but love the stretching technique's in the Mastering the Rubber guard and have been doing them everyday for 2 1/2 months now. Love the Rubber Guard and the 10th planet system! I still train Gi but prefer Eddie's Jiu Jitsu system over the Gracie Barra system . Attachment 814

the fact your fifteen yes is a major benefit...i'm 25 and overweight lol
If you follow Bravos stretches in Mastering the Rubber Guard book and start a routine once a day at least you should do fine. I love stretching now that I've made a routine and look forward to doing it.
I wasn't that flexible , before I started Bravos system I only stretched before Jiu Jitsu 2 times a week .Thanks!Quote:

I've recently started making a serious effort to improve my hip flexibility too. For years I only stretched out 2/3 times a week before each training session, but for the past month I've been stretching twice a day and can see some progress. I can get to the invisible collar without any problems, so my flexibility can't be that bad!
On a slightly different note, my neck is very flexible (immune to neck cranks, and I can roll back on my neck so that my knees touch my shoulder). Anyone consider a flexible neck an advantage to JJ?
Being able to roll up like that is also a lot of lower back flexibility and helps for being stacked.
Some people are born with flexible hips. I for example have never had to stretch to put my knees to the mat when in Cobbler's Pose (or what ever you want to call it) I could always put my feet to my butt and my knees to the mat with no effort. But most people aren't this way. You may be one of the lucky ones!Quote:

i have pretty much the same issue. i think it has to do with the shape of my hips or being lanky or something. i have very flexible hips but for reason that second leg up hasn't gotten any easier in like 2 year of stretching.Quote:
