short legs, 155 lbs vs 227 lbs Blue Belt... rubberguard, what to do?
I gots midget legs, is there a time you simply use rubberguard to frustrate your opponent and get him to open up his game if his girth is beyond your leg length? I grappled this 227lbs blue belt and it was very difficult to push my rg game. On small to mid size frames I don't have many problems... when I try and rg people like Red Schafer... I can't get past New York, he ofcourse knows what I'm doing, but in general... should I continue to push rg game on people with a wide girth? I find myself looking for pyramid or playing inverted instead, is this the right direction?
