Haunted House Rousey
I like her.
I love to watch GSP control a fight because it isn't a easy thing to do and his skills are dam impressive, and in Canada the gangsters are like GSP and Not Nick Diaz so i find him more entertaining in how bad ass he is.
damn i'm in love with her
GSP is the blueprint for wrestlers to get wins, but it is boring to watch lay & pray. I was impressed that he kept trying to submit Dan Hardy even though Greg Jackson kept telling him in between rounds not to keep going for the submission, and play it safe by taking the decision.
GSP is the Biggest draw for the UFC yet he is bad for the sport??? Hmmm ... outside of that good interview.
Looks like Brock Lesnar is the Biggest draw But I guess now that he's gone

Just going by what Dana White has said on a number of occasions like post fight press conferences.
Ok here is one such case (I'm not going to get into too much of this as I'm just pointing out from what I've seen in the past) at aprox 4:42 he is asked about GSP and even by how much more he grosses compared to Lesnar.

I hope this helps.:)
To me even these numbers don't tell the whole story. They are based on there last 5 main/co main events.Quote:

ufc 83 Matt Serra took his belt was it a fluke? Interesting fight, it sold ppv. I guess that makes him a draw, could he redeem him self against a 155lb fighter?
ufc 87 This is where it gets funny, Brock the number one grossing guy was on that card, hmm.
ufc 94 This was a historic event for the first time somebody was moving up in weight to try and be the first person to hold a title in two weight div. at the same time. I think that credit goes to BJ.
ufc 100 A co main event with, yes again, the number one draw.
ufc 111 Even though it was not labeled a co main event this card featured a second title fight between Mir and Carwin for the interim heavy weight belt. That and the Nibiru nation tuned in hoping to see Hardy knock G.S.P out only to watch a black belt struggle and not finish a purple belt.(I realize the last part probably had virtually no impact on the ppv sales)
I would like to see Dana explain his statement even though the numbers dispute it. I think her point was when most people watch G.S.P. fight they are not jumping out of there seat with excitement and for that to be said for a long time raining champion of the biggest promotion in the sport.......that's "bad for the sport".
Gsp is a greaser and will get beat down by Diaz (after he mops the floor with Condit!)
Ronda is the shizz !
GSP the best all around fighter? maybe the best wrestler, def not the best all around fighter. He is the best at dictating where a fight goes.
GSP Sucks
Okay, I just listened to this while I was in the other room, so I can honestly say I'm not being biased by Ronda's looks: she does really good interviews.
This is the reason she said he is bad for the sport. If this is how educated fans feel about him what will first time viewers watching his fights think? "this is the champion of this sport?"
I agree with all those comments by the way haha
For me it boils down to entertainment. Ive said it before and ill say it again. I watch UFC to be entertained.....GSP is not entertaining.
GSP is the best!
in the UFC. ;)
Ya your probably right he is the best ufcer he's been training UFCs for a long time are you going to train UFCs?
I like Ronda (and Diaz too), but if push comes to shove I'm going to side with GSP first. At the end of the day St Pierre see's it as the challenger is the one who has to gamble and knock or sub him out, so he can manage the fight as he see pleases. If you were champ I think u would do what u needed to as well to defend the title, George himself has already said he's not a great athlethe but he has something the other fighters don't-knowledge, and he knows how to put it together. I will root for Nick to win against Condit though, and Ronda to beat Meisha.
He's not going to "manage" shit against Diaz he's not going to manage to lay in his guard with out getting tapped and he's not going to manage to stay on the outside and jab and he's not going to manage to not be sucking wind with his mouth wide open if it gets to the forth round.
I will say this Condit is more of a thret to him than GSP.
On that note I will say Nick is the most dangerous opponent GSP will have faced in all his title defenses (with the slight exception of Shields because everyone rooting for Jake was counting on the fight to hit the ground but George had already said he wasn't going to be afraid to go to the ground). Don't forget that George's Jitsui hasn't really been tested much recently and he trains with some nasty jitsui guys (some of my friends discussed that his jitz will likely be one of his last aces in the hole as he nears the end of his career, so far he's gotten by with mainly his wrestling, GnP, and some aspects of a standup karate/boxing/muay thai. But hey it's good to discuss these things, I like hearing everyone speak and then it allows for deeper convo and whatnot.Quote:

Well I guess we don't have to worry about this fight now then, esp if Diaz retires. I hope he stays though, should be a good fight between GSP and Condit though.
GSP is the best fighter in his division ever. Every supposedly biggest challenge of his career has been dominated. He hasn't finished anyone in a while but thats what Condit and Diaz are for!=)
