Well that suck. Its prob gonna be mostly body weight excercises (pull up, pushups, hindu squats, hindu push ups)
hindu squats and hindu push ups are what I recommend as well
Sorry to hear about that Charle. Let us know how it goes.
Besides the pushups and situps
try isometric exercises.

push ups and don't drop the soap lol, and remember don't take any gifts, ain't shit free in jail.
What did you do?
Good suggestions above. But especially, do sets of 10 burpies every minute. Focus on technique and posture, and try to get the set done in 30-35 seconds so that you have almost a half minute to rest between sets. At my gym, you have to be able to hit 10 sets in 10 minutes to make blue belt. Black bets have to do 300 in 30.
It's great cardio, great burst training, and a great mix of targeted muscles. And just in case you are not sure, a burpie is:
Start w legs at shoulder width, squat down, hands right outside your feet on the mat, kick both feet back at the same time into pushup position, pushup, jump feet back to where they were, jump back up with proper squatting technique, but jump in the air, and make sure to raise both arms over your head as you jump (to open your core).
Also leg lifts, windshield wipers (like leg lifts your feet go side to side like they are drawing a rainbow over your waist), and the above stuff, like hindu pushups. Also, if you don't mind looking ridiculous, practice balancing upside down. It helps for passing a lot.
Push people's shit in. It's good for the hips
Id start practicing butthole clenching exercises now...i think working out in a jail cell is the going to be the least of your worries.
dont get caught next time
Hmm......all kinds of leg lifts using the bars, pushups, free body tricep presses, those upside down handstand military presses, plank variations, pistol squats. I'm just trying to be creative here to help you out from looking at that cell picture.

So you got a DUI? Or was it drugs...
I wouldn't worry too much, maybe you'll get a nice cell mate that's willing to grapple, just make sure he doesnt try to take your back. If you do happen to drop the soap, I'd roll for a leg lock. It has a high rate of success, especially when the person is preoccupied.

I recommend what we call the Leg Matrix: 24 bodyweight squats, 24 lunges (12 each leg), 24 high jumps, 24 frog jumps. No rest between moves, rest for 2x however long it took, and do it again.
I'm in the same situation. When I was in I sacrificed one of my bed sheets to use as a trx suspension trainer. tie it to the staircase on your bunk and you got a ton of different exercises. Roll up your mattress and tie the sheet around as a handle and have your cell mate provide resistance. sounds dumb but it was a lot more effective then I thought. Try to sneak a trash bag into your cell and fill it up as a water bag to substitute for weights. order the largest size slippers and cover them with socks to use as mitts. Run with sweats on during rec. Focus on animal exercises and doing leg work like squats, duck walks, ect. I went in to HCCC at 215 came out 6 weeks later at 165. It's all you can really do so might as well do it. Try to trade your food for fruit. and pound water.
Gearing up to go back in in late March so I know what your going through man. Look at it as an isolated opportunity to work on your mental, physical, and spiritual strength. The trx thing works good though.
assault 1 and 2 on an officer is gonna get you more than community service, but believe me I wish it were that simple.
but to answer your question jail tests you more spiritually then anything else so it's important to have something to shoot for so that while you do your time your not just wasting away. It helps keep you focussed on something positive instead of just breaking down, feeling sorry for yourself or getting comfortable with a situation that is anything but.
I was doing what was called time served which is when you do time before your sentenced with an actual crime. I'll probably plee bargain in the 3rd week of march but there maybe more time for me to serve other than my initial 6 weeks back in september and october.
Anything with body weight. You'll have plenty of time to go over all of them a few times over. Get used to bird baths and clean your cell(have a mop towel). You don't want to be that guy.
Just cause no one said it...
