I'm wondering if any of you feel there is a weight limit where you would not attempt to use the Lockdown or Whip Up, or if there are specific tips you have to offer for going against heavier opponents?
I was rolling with a friend of mine last night, he's only a few inches taller than me but outweighs me by about 110-120 lbs. I was able to use my Lockdown to take him off his base, and make it so he wasn't able to put his full weight on me, but I could not whip him up, and had a hard time getting onto my side until he gave me space. Oddly enough though, I did manage to hit a 5-0 sweep on him when I tried whipping down and managed to get a two on one on his forearm. I mostly went from Lockdown to Stomp/Super Stomp, then butterfly sweeps with him instead.
Anyway, any tips you all have to offer for using Lockdown against bigger opponents would be appreciated. Thanks.
