You say that you have to train in the Gi or else you're not doing 'Brazil Jiu Jitsu.' Well, what's it called when you use your art in a fight but you're not wearing your Gi ?

I have hung out with Renato quite a bit and helped him learn the areas around Los Angeles.

He is fun to kick it with and is quite good with the ladies, but...(ATTN: THIS IS NOT A JOKE)...the first time I met up with him for lunch, he actually fucking wore his Gi!

I'M TOTALLY SERIOUS.

If you don't believe me, guess what? You'll see it in a future episode of MTS.

I couldn't believe it, but he wore it just to prove a point!

P.S. He is always flossing. He has this weird thing about super clean teeth. I dunno. Said it was something about it looking "not poor," but I told him that many wealthy people also have shitty teeth. Kinda quirky and I wonder if he is maybe OCD. He is an interesting dude to say the least.

He suffers from Toxmoplasmosis. Most Brazilian men who have lived in major cities have it. It makes him aggressive and very defensive about what he believes in. He is definitely legit. Look at it like this. If we all spent years training 10th Planet and some guy came along and created a system with Shin Guards to protect lockdown and neck spikes to block gogo's we would get angry about our blackbelts being useless in a fight on the beach too.

Come on guys. It is all Jiu Jitsu. I think if you truly love Jiu Jitsu you would be open to learning every aspect and evolution of it. You are being just as bad as Renato by starting shit like this. So he loves bjj and defends it. So what. You love and defend 10thpjj. I respect gi and nogi, but mostly I respect the people who are open to it all. You have all talked about how Jiu Jitsu is about being open minded. But a lot of you, if it's not 10thpjj than you won't have anything to do with it. That's being very narrow minded. Just stick with what works for you and let others do the same. Don't chastize people for having a fucking opinion. Be open minded. Practice what you preach.
