I know the northern states in the US get a lot of snow.
I guess that these videos are produced by people in states where they don't see snow that often. Snow is Ice crystals.. It's a lot of oxygen, and some water, that has formed an insulating mass. Yes, insulating..
Now,.. I'm from Norway. We don't just get snow, we have meters upon meters of snow, all year round. So this is were I come in and drop some knowledge on you.
As I said, snow is insulating. You can dig into it during a snowstorm to survive. You can build Igloo's with it and have a cozy home. And if you put a flame to it, the microscopic pockets of air that the snow consists of, coupled with it being very cold, makes it hard to melt with a flame.
Water, when frozen expands, whereas all other basic compounds of the universe shrink. There's no scientific explanation for this, but it's a very well known fact.
WHEN it melts, the water dissipates into the air pockets, shrinking the snow. This is commonly known as "melting" snow.
When you melt all of it, you end up with a very small puddle of water, compared to the large volume of snow you initially started to melt. The water is pulled by gravity downwards, into the remaining air pockets. There's no reason the water would protrude outwards from the ball of snow, because there is no pressure. It's shrinking again, not expanding, remember? Also, it's not melting from the inside out, it's melting from the outside in.
There's no reason the water produced would somehow magically pop out in the direction of the flame either. Look at an ice crystal. When the edges melt, the water follows the edges of the spikes, towards the centre of it, and then travels over to new ice crystals that form pockets of air, latches on to that, takes up the air space, and so on , ad infinitum.
Soot and chemicals from the flame will deposit on the snows surface when doing this. That's why the snow ends up smelling funny. Another phenomenon is called "black snow"
This is when snow is exposed to pollution over long periods of time, like exhaust by a road, and it turns jet black.
I suppose that smells funny too, but in all honesty, I don't go around smelling snow. (This is a new practice to me, I'm intrigued, and a tiny bit astounded by the snow-smelling people in these videos.)
However, I'm pretty sure the snow did not smell before someone put a flame to it. You know, that combustion thing, that is generated trough a process called "fire", burning fossilized fuel and chemicals. Like gas. Or gasoline. Here's a newsflash; Gasoline smells too. And contains water. how about that? Sick, eh?
Now if you wanted to cover a state in "fake snow" this would, economically speaking, be more expensive than a couple of trips to the moon and Mars put together, and require an insane amount of manpower and muscle. Workers. People that failed chemistry class, you know, guys that believe in fake snow and shit.
These people would in turn leak info, saying; "Hey, do you know what I did last week? We made fake snow!" (To God knows what purpose..)
There is of course a possibility that it is real, IF your government has produced an army of robots that can't speak, that are more advanced than Atlas, Valkyrie, or anything Honda can put together times ten. In which the conspiracy theory becomes; "Why do we have an army of highly advanced robots?"
I don't think people should dismiss conspiracy theories by default, because there's a lot of conspiracies in this world, and there's some truth to many of these theories. Cloud seeding for example is a fact, not a conspiracy theory. Spraying chemicals as population control, I don't know, maybe. It's happened before from buildings, and it's happened in Vietnam during the war.
But this fake snow hypothesis... it made my eyes bleed, my brain hurt, and watching one of the videos made me dumber for the rest of my life.
-For the love of God, Jupiters cock, Allah Buddha and all that shit, just listen to me when I say that this is EXACTLY how snow reacts, and always will react to open flame, from the beginning of the universe til it's very end!
Now if anyone can show someone lighting snow on fire, I can tell you that's not snow, and that it is fake and set up. Unless someone walks randomly out into a field and set that on fire, then I'd start to wonder.
Thank you. -Joachim, from the land of eternal winter snow and frost giants. "Have nice day!" *Russian accent*
