Holy crap that was beautiful! BJJ scout is a national treasure. I really appreciate the commentary at the end too. Got me right in the feels.

I really enjoyed his analysis of Sakuraba. Sakuraba's finish of Renzo Gracie the first time around is probably my favorite submission of all time, tied with watching Eddie tie Royler up like a pretzel in their second fight and Royler having to save himself with Eddie's gi pants.

Oh my god...that was fucking incredible!

When I started grappling in '01/'02 the "grainy pride highlights" were a HUGE inspiration to me. I was in grad school, and I was supposed to be studying. But instead, I was like a crack addict watching those things in slow motion and dissecting every move Sakuraba, Sperry, and Minotauro were making. BJJ Scout is right: they were Heros then...not athletes.

Makes me weep for the death of Pride.

That ending made my face all wet.

Could live without the "Chipmunks do Emo" music, though.
