The IBJJF rules change like every 2 seconds so I could be wrong, but last I remember, they'll just stop the action, remove the reaped leg, and have you place your foot on the hip instead.

Last I knew, attempting finish a straight footlock facing your opponents body is illegal because they say it results in a reap of some sort.

Also, I would have to check to see if the Honey Hole position is illegal because I thought I had asked once about reaping and was told the opponents foot would have to be locked in the opposite hip compared to how it is in the Honey Hole.

It sucks but you're better to be safe than sorry as I've seen Referees disqualify people when another Ref did not under the same conditions.

Had a buddy get dq'd for reaping because his single leg x guard foot crossed the hip while his opponent was trying to escape. My guess is that using the honey hole to sweep would put you at risk for a dq. Better safe than sorry.
