Yea I must have had my hands wrapped 9 times by Mick Broster and with all the things that might happen in a fight, wristlocks has never crossed my mind. You never see a UFC fight finished due to wrist lock. Never say never, but it would have to be some pretty gruesome wristlock to break all the support
I agree. If there was any type of wrist lock that could do it. it would have to be the one that torques the wrist first and then puts a diagonal pressure on the wrist. Even then I wouldnt bet on it. this type of straight wrist lock needs a lot of motion.
Cool move though
Quite possibly a good move for mma to use as a control in half guard rather than a submission. You might be able to use it to set other stuff up.
