whats up with soo many of the other fighters giving jonny boy a bad rap and saying hes ducking everyone worse than the middleweight division ducked "TRT" vitor? i mean i understand he can be a bit of a douche but i dont expect him to be giving me flowers before he picks me up for prom, i want him to go out and smash guys faces in. which is what he has been doing (excluding the real champ alexander gustaffson)

putting aside his last fight, jones has dominated everyone, has pushed through smoe big challenges (vitor armbar, sonnen toe break) he doesnt really ever go to a decision and he fights a bunch of former champions. hes set up to fight imo the second most dangerous guy that he could fight and people are saying that he is ducking fights?

im annoyed that im going to have to wait for gustaffson vs jones 2 for a bit longer but im not normally a big fan of instant rematches anyway and i just cant figure out where people are coming from.

I think it's cos it seems unfair. Look at him in the cage with almost all 205ers (except Gus) and he looks like he's in a different division. Add that to his natural athleticism and ability and it seems like he's cheating or something. It makes me wanna root for the underdog anyway.

Jones kind of does it to himself. He keeps complaining that guys are having easy fights on their way to the title shot, but he's had to fight a murderers row back to back to back. I can understand his point. But it does sound like he wants to avoid certain fighters or having to fight super tough fights back to back.

Bad logic man. There are tons of guys who have size and reach advantages. That's all it is. An advantage. It's not an unfair advantage. Mike Tyson was always undersized. It's just an advantage. Jones is a big LHW, but he's def not built for HW. The same way GSP is a big WW, but he'd be a small MW.

Like I said, there are tons of guys with size/reach advantages that aren't champs. To insinuate that Jones is champ because of his size ignores his actual skill and it ignores the tons of guys with size advantage that aren't champs.

You're going to have to wait for a Jones/Gus rematch even longer because Jones is losing his title April 26th.

I used to be a Jones fan but the guy comes across so fake and he's been outed as a phony too. I can't deny the guy has major skills but regardless if you're going to be a hero or a heel don't be fake.

Jones is naturally athletic. The length does make a difference when added to the athleticism. We've had fighters that knock people out numerous times bc of this combo...they didn't all have the best technical skills. Now, that being said, jones is young and his technical skills are still being developed. He has mad potential to be a monster. I'm not a fan of his attitude. But w/e people think Rhonda is a b, but I don't, on top of that she has mad skills.

So..I suppose it's some what perspective. But I don't feel he's the best fighter he could be and I also feel like he could show a little more sportsmanship.

I agree with the bad logic call, but I'm not saying he's actually cheating or he became champ JUST by having long arms and legs. Alls I'm saying is when most people have tried to strike with him it looked too easy for him and it made me want the other guy to win. He outstruck opponents partly by using his reach advantage like he should and anyone with an advantage should (I'm obviously not against people using natural advantages within the rules), and by training hard, being disciplined etc...
I guess I instinctively like the underdog more. Also the fake schtick was somewhat offputting. I don't care too much about him either way to be honest. Definitely not a Jones hater, but I don't feel compelled to want him to win. I'm absolutely compelled to watch him fight though.
