    IG is important for guard recovery.
    Watch Kayron Gracie vs Sergio Moraes from 2010 Pan.
    Kayron's IG is what made it impossible for Sergio to pass.

    Ryan Hall does recommend that the basics are where its at but to completely disregard the inverted guard is silly. Cobrinha is another inverted guard player.

    Besides the MTS where he shows the inverted guard, does Eddie actually use inverted guard at all during live rolls? Dunno if that would be a project he would even want to take on if he doesnt really use it

    idk me and cookie were talking about this and he was telling me that their isnt a book that focuses mainly on it
    and when i thought of books that mainly focus on a guard i thought of eddies rubber guard book
    so thats why i asked, i never knew he didnt use it cuz i cant find to many vids of him in compeition online

    Maybe, but to me spending any real time looking at inverted guard as a white belt is what seems silly.
