    how does that work, once you are past 15 do you restart as a white belt?

    No, if you are good enough you would be promoted to Blue when you turn 16. The minimum age for Blue AND Purple is 16, Brown is 18 and Black is 19

    I have no clue what you guys are talking about. Can't be ranked only so high until old enough?????? No Black until 19 ? Crazy talk!!!

    Great line, from a great movie. Original, not the remake. The remake sucked donkey balls.

    We train the young kids (8-12) in the gi. I feel at that age kids will stay more interested if they wear the uniform and physically have the belt around their waist on a daily basis. We also have them line up at the beginning and end of class in order of rank. I feel this helps to teach them disipline and that it's time to listen and train once they have the gi on.
