So many angles to approach this from....

Hey I really appreciate all the advice folks.

I actually do have one mercury filling, and it is
resting directly on a nerve. When I had it put
in, my mouth was in a high amount of pain for
    6 months....literally...needless to say I never went
back for more. They x-ray'd and said it was on
the nerve and would chill out eventually.

Without insurance, the dentist is not my first option,
but I will read more into the subject for sure...maybe
that can be the boring book I read at night.
But seriously, I can read an get tired, but then I usually
find myself waking up restless at some point in the night.

I try to have everything off and complete silence when
I sleep, except when trying white noise to help me sleep.

I would attribute it somewhat to my training in the evening,
except that I have been having this issue for quite a while,
even when I wasn't having any strenuous activity at that hour.
When I started training twice a day, I thought maybe that
would help tire me out at the proper hour.

I mean, I can sleep at 5 in the morning, but it's still not
great sleep, and it's not consistent. I actually missed training
this morning because I was laying in bed for about 5 hours
without sleep, and that pisses me off, I hate missing training.

Melatonin is slightly effective for inducing the sleep cycle,
but only for a day or two, then I can't feel a difference after
that. Kava kava is one natural I haven't tried, but I will give
    it a shot.

Somatomax looks interesting and seems to crash people out
pretty well, but I find it a bit odd that there is no website
for it, and very little information on it around the web.
I will look up the ingredients individually and decide whether
or not I should consume it.

Masturbation quit working a while back, it might put me in
the mood, but then I will reawaken fully very soon afterwards.

I haven't tried a cold shower in the evening, but am willing
to give it a shot. And unfortunately where I live, the choice
of weed is what is in town, so selecting strains would be a bit
    out of my reach.

Damn...there's a lot going on here, again, I really
    appreciate the advice given here.

"Japanese have longer lifespans that do most other ethnicities. One theory has been that regular ofuro or hot baths at bedtime increase melatonin release, which extends lifespan. Paradoxically, according to the Stanford professors who taught Bio 50, cold is actually a more effective signaller for sleep onset, but it could have no relation to melatonin production.

I decided to test the effect of combining 10-minute ice baths, timed with a countdown kitchen timer, one hour prior to bed (closer to bed and the adrenergic response of noradrenalin, etc. won’t allow you to sleep) with low-dose melatonin (1.5 – 3 mg) on regulating both sleep regularity and speed to sleep. The icebath is simple: 2-3 bags of ice from a convenience store ($3-6 USD) put into a half-full bath until the ice is about 80% melted. Beginners should start with immersing the lower body only and progress to spending the second five minutes with the upper torso submerged (fold your legs Indian-style at the end of the tub if you don’t have room). I’ll talk about the fat-loss and sperm-count benefits of this in future post.

The result: it’s like getting hit with an elephant tranquilizer. Don’t expect it to be pleasant at first." -Tim Ferriss

lol if you want a boring book on the subject I would highly recommend the book 'Toxic Dentistry exposed'.

Click on the name of the Title on the left hand side of the screen on this site to buy it.

Also NEVER get any more Mercury fillings. If you need a filling porcelin is a non-metal and non toxic alternative. I would stay away from conventional dentists forever if I were you. Trust me they don't have your best interests at heart. I would highly recommend an Earthing sheet for helping to improve your sleep even if you didn't have Insomnia. With regards the cost and insurance I definetly understand where you are coming from. I'm not sure for your situation but maybe get an Interest free credit card for 18 months and shove it on that perhaps? Thats what I did years ago.

Good luck anyway whatever you decide to do.

Consensual, consistent, disease free sex should do the trick. Try it out for 90 days. If it doesn't work, you still win!

Ha....yeah if it were that easy, I think I would be sleeping better.
Unfortunately 90 days of consistent sex is a rarity in my life.

I disagree about the consensual part. I sleep best after a long struggle.

This may be true, but then your ass is too sore for you to sleep on your back.

I have to admit....I have not tried getting ass raped
with a big struggle involved before bedtime, maybe it's
    the last resort though.
