Your torso is no-mans land. Don't allow his hands inside the center zone. Always win the center. If he wins the center, he can possibly stack you or trap your hip and regain his posture. Work on slowly breaking the posture and gaining inches on how high your legs get tied up on him. Pull his head to give you a moment where you can re-configure your legs and prevent him from regaining what he lost. If you feel too stacked, walk back on your shoulders/neck/elbows to get some breathing room.
