anybody been playin new jearsey? ive been playing alot of new jearsey here in the last 4 or so months n its become one of my favorite spots. just wondering if anyones been using it, and if so, what are you doing from there? ive got some pretty tight paths from there and was wondering if anyone else was using them. i plan on hitting them in comp soon. so there will be vids in the future.

I immediately carni/transition to omo. You do not wanna hangout in Jersey too long..."snooki want smoosh smoosh." They call it Jersey for a reason. Either get that other leg hipped out to a full rg or transition..

Rolling thunder/gogos are viable. I try not to be in Jersey if at all possible though. Having that leg trap actually limits your options...

I'm loving the meat hook from there for sure. Sean you didn't say explicitly but you might have been talking about working the meat hook as well.

But ya I'm loving that position. It's super tough for your opponent to both pass and avoid a triangle at once. Plus the transition to the omoplata/carni.

Yea, I've been working alot of meat hook options, been doing the "Jersey stocks" lol. I'm guessing that's an appropriate name. But over been working on a position from there that is sort of like spider Webb but not as versatile...yet. its all under development and until I hit gotti in a tournament I'm gonna keep it on the low. Need to know it viable on more than just white belts
