UFC 145 - Who you got?

You would think he would have been. He said he wouldnt be mesmerized by Jones's flash. It went exactly how I thought it would go though. There was so much hype leading up that this was such a rivalry that I had a feeling they would both respect each other too much for either fighter to go for anything that could cost the fight. Even Jones seemed to throw less risky strikes. Jones really started to look comfortable I believe it was in the 2nd until he got hit with a overhand that made him way more cautious. Why didnt Rashad go for more takedowns? I thought he could have kept the fighter closer that way. Putting Jones on his back would take away that range and make him at least a little less dangerous

Don't ask me. Rashad looked hesitant and tried to be cautious and he wasn't putting in enough work. He was trying to make distance the whole fight and probably thought he was gonna get his takedown defensed. I agreed with Joe that he should've went all out in the last 2 minutes of the fight because clearly Jones was gonna get the decision and the only thing Rashad could've done was hope to TKO or KO Jones

Exactly what I was thinking too. Should have gone balls out. If youre gonna lose make it impressive! I think he looked pretty tired the last 2 rounds too. I wonder if the elevation difference during training really did make a difference

damn, only got 7 fights correct, although i knew at the weigh-ins i was going to be wrong about the Shaub Rothwell fight, same with the Evans Jones fight. Rothwell looked in great shape for a change, and Jones looked a weight class above Evans. Evans should drop to 185. He would do very well there too. :-)

Well, I could already here the excuse train coming from people who hate on Jon Jones.
The "He's so much taller" "He's so much bigger" "He is a heavyweight fighting LHWs".


Well, other than all that, disappointed that Griggs lost, in fact I'm disappointed they moved him from strikeforce.

It's clear they are going to get rid of strikeforce, probably by the end of this year, and Griggs was rising through the ranks with them.
People like him are there last hope to start building new "stars".

Yeah with 10 secs left in the round ! Not very impressive really, like when he went for a kneebar on shogun with only a few secs left in the round, he's not trying to finish with it just scoring points
