The Twister, is it legal for kids in tournaments?

Been watching the vid on the Twister, just want to ask if its legal for kids to do it in tournaments? Cus to me, I might be wrong, but it look like a neck crank. IF its not legal, is there any other variations to this technique that makes it legal? THanks Bruce

Its a neck crank.

There are legal submissions that come off truck that you can use.

It would depend on the rules of the tournament.

Mostly not allowed for kids because it is a cevicle lock. However, the armlock(sccissors?) from that control is money as is the bouncer. I posted a thread on other options and had good response. do a forum search. Also, I would think all the stuff from the truck would be good for her to learn just cause she can use it to get to the back, judging by the highlight video of Cora, she has a killer RNC!!

Ok Thanks Greg. I will do the search. The reason why I want the twister to be part of her arsenal is because Cora will turn 10 on the 17th, a day after NAGA. And from now on, she will face 10-12 yr old kids. I just want her to have more weapons... Just preparing her for the next level.

Speaking of the next level, I have a question regard this. Since Cora is currently fighting the 8-9 yr old kids in the expert division. But when she turns 10, does she go back to fighting the intermediate 10-12 yr old kids and work her way up to the expert again? Or will she be fighting the expert 10-12 yr old kids? Twister will be illegal. But if she can get to baseball bat control, she should be able to get the straight armbar. And like Greg W mentioned, there are a LOT of options from the truck. So no matter what, let her learn the truck. That alone is an advantage since it's not a common position in most BJJ schools. Usually when your opponent is clueless, it's easier to pull things off.
