Does anyone ever notice that TRUE martial artists are the nicest ego free people ever... I guess you cannot get as good as a Georges St. Pierre, Anderson Silva, or Marcelo Garcia with an ego preventing you growing and assessing your weaknesses. I really enjoyed a interview of one of Bruce Lee's students saying he didn't care how big or how tough or scary looking his opponents were, he was confident in himself because he knew he had the art of fighting on his side. It's impossible to be a douchebag and be the best Judo, BJJ, MMA ect fighter in the world. Douchebags will find it easier to brag about their skills when it's almost also transparent they are self conscious trying to convince themselves of their skills, and how bad ass they are, and in the end everyone loses. It's only sad and unfortunate for humanity to have self conscious people like that in it. I guess if you're the great, or the best at something you don't need to tell everyone, do you?

Thanks for that awesome video! I had seen a previous picture of Marcelo giving his opening day speech, with Ric filming it, and I knew we were in for a treat in a few days.

Eddie seems like a great guy- I'm betting on a couple of tears when he opens up.
