On Sunday December 16, 2012, 2 days after the CT shooting, a man went to a restaurant in San Antonio to kill his ex-girlfriend. After he shot her, most of the people in the restaurant fled next door to a theater. The gunman followed them and entered the theater so he could shoot more people. He started shooting and people in the theater started running and screaming. It’s like the Aurora, CO theater story plus a restaurant!
Now aren’t you wondering why this isn’t a lead story in the national media along with the school shooting?
There was an off duty county deputy at the theater. SHE pulled out her gun and shot the man 4 times before he had a chance to kill anyone. So since this story makes the point that the best thing to stop a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun, the media is treating it like it never happened.
Only the local media covered it. The city is giving her a medal next week. Just thought you’d like to know.

He ignored their rules and flipped the game on them. He won. If you've ever seen Piers Morgan, he does to his guests EXACTLY what Alex did to him during the interview. He insults and talks over them, dominating the flow of the conversation and changing the topic when challenged. Piers asking for a "debate" was laughable.

I've never really dug Alex's style, but after watching this interview, I'm starting to come around. You think he was acting retarded? No. He was acting furious, and he has a fucking right to be. It's called passion. Now isn't the time to debate these totalitarian, government-worshipping fools. Debate only gives their bullshit an illusion of validity.

My right to my life and the defense of it isn't something you can debate.

Alex brought the real issue to the forefront and went viral on the merit of his pure explosiveness. It's everywhere now. Millions are watching it. The fact that it's here on an obscure JJ forum is testament to its power. I commend him for it.

Alex is not acting effectively in bringing forward reasoned debate to the gun issue. The video went viral because he acted like a complete lunatic. I've watched a number of people take the high road on faux "debate" style shows, such as Richard Dawkins on Bill O'Reilly's show. The high road is far more effective because it makes guys like Morgan or O'Reilly look like the petulant children they are. Further, anyone who is undecided on the issue will naturally gravitate towards the person not coming across as a crazy person in the midst of a psychotic episode.

Anyone who supports Alex Jones or shares his beliefs should be embarrassed by his conduct in this video. There is no doubt that he is an intelligent person who is passionate about the rights and freedoms of Americans; however, the important information he had to share was completely swallowed up and over shadowed by his extreme hyperbole and belligerence. Whatever side you are on in the gun debate, this video did nothing towards reaching a solution.

Israel is the country with more guns per citizens in the world and has one of the lowest murder rates in the world. The problem is the hipocresy in the US goverment. Like laws against weed or some foreign policies. That confuses students and people in general.

Well I guess we should all stop training Jiu Jitsu guys, cause even though it's used for self defense we could be considered dangerous. God forbid a deranged BJJ guy starts choking people out till they are dead. There would be a big debate on how BJJ is dangerous and a law stating I couldn't do BJJ in certain places, and without mass amounts of documents. I wouldn't be able to protect myself anymore.

It's as ridiculous to ban guns, as it is BJJ.

As for the school shootings. How many of them were criminals? Most are middle class kids with no previous criminal record. Crime rates, and school shootings (surpisingly) have been dropping consistantley ever since they have been doing statistics on it. I'd recommend the essay "There's Nothing to Learn from Littleton." It has all the stats of why this has nothing to do with a gun issue. Imagine all the people in the Colorado theatre were armed - or at least a dozen of them. Imagine you wake up and 3 people are breaking into your house with knifes ready to rob and kill you (Which believe it or not has, and could happened). You would want a gun then and there.

I'm from Canada and our gun laws are so ridiculously strict, but never really understood why. If someone wants to do damage to someone they will, a gun is there number 1 choice, but if they couldn't get a gun it would be a knife or a sword. And people on a mission to kill will always be able to get guns. No matter how strict the laws are.
