Can't we all just get a bong??? LoL!!! I started training with Eddie 5 years ago, and his encounters where not much different. Except people may find Eddie more approachable and easier to talk to

I guess it's different strokes for different folks!
That's the prob. What is merely admiration to some, is severe nut hugging to others, especially if they don't like whom you admire. And yes, some go straight to the sucking up, but that's another story.
But, I think that there is a lot of hypocrisy when others claim Bravo has fan boys, or even call it like a cult; especially in the traditional BJJ community, as they, rightfully I might add, hold in the highest esteem the 'greats' of their art.
Some get shy when Marcelo's around, show respect worthy of the pope, but then criticize Bravo's fans. I am not saying anything is wrong with revering a great in your sport or field, I think it's healthy, but it's the hypocrisy I find amusing.
There are a lot of great people in various and diverse life disciplines that I could never be like; and I am in awe at their accomplishments, and I admit it. But I would never call another a fan boy unless i video tape myself around one of my idols first. (unless of course, they start dressing like him/her, stalking their idol asking for marriage or to be best friends, or start every sentence with, "Justin says").
Nonetheless, on an off note, You should treat all people with respect and reverence, not just a select hierarchy.
