I think you're missing my overall point. If they are an affiliate with traceable lineage I can make my own choices. However, if someone like redcloud lies about his lineage...I mean, dude is instructing people, and we have no idea what belt rank he is. With Brandon and John I can go up to them and they would say "hey big dude, I'm a Eddie Bravo blue belt". And I'm straight. If Eddie backs the schol I am cool. However, if some guy were a blue belt and just opened up a BJJ academy I would have to monitor the class.

I really was just making the point that a purple or black belt usually allows an expectation of the ability to teach. Not crapping on blue belts running schools. Sorry for seeming like a dick

It is important when you have spent legit years under a master to achieve the belt. It is bragging rights so to speak or a ribbon or a medal to show for all the hard work a person puts on and off the mat. And yes, I have seen BJJ BB take a beating in MMA. But that is different... IT IS MMA. And if it wasn't that damn important why are you claiming to be a BB when you are not. Where is a picture of you and your promotion from a legendary BJJ master?

I'm not an advocate for marijuana use, I've seen it bring a lot of bad shit into peoples lives and it's not worth it. It is something that should be left for mature people only, not kids. This isn't really the thread for this topic so I'd perfer if this discussion really stayed on topic. But I also don't understand what the dudes heritage means in all this?

Piet Wilhelm isn't a 10th Planet Black belt and I don't see anyone jumpin his ass...or posting his other 2 losses...You guys must have a double-standard.

When I signed up on the forum it asked what my BJJ rank was not my 10th planet BJJ rank was. I am NOT a 10th Planet BB. I have much respect for Eddie and would never claim I am a black belt under him. I am a BB under Renato Tavares from ATT. I am 1 of ten of his BB.
