Scott didn't get to go to Eddie's Montreal Seminar and couldn't go to the UFC tonight due not getting his enhanced ID in time, so he decided to throw his hat into WolfMania's $1000 prize Absolute Division (Raging Wolf is a MMA promotion that operates out a Indian Reservation near here).
I got all these results via text so I'm lacking some of the details so I'll make sure to get some video up when I get it.
Scott won his first match in approx 30 secs via Triangle.
He then won his 2nd match vs. a very seasoned local BJJ Brown Belt Instructor and pro mma fighter and also one of the guys fighting in the Super Fight Match at the same tournament in approx. 20 secs via heel hook.
Scott then lost to BJJ Black Belt and TuF vet Matt Arroyo via armbar at about 9mins 30secs.
Way to go out there and represent brotha, we know you didn't get the loot but all of the us at 10th Planet Rochester are proud of you!
Thanks for all the support everyone. I would have loved to make it out to the seminar but like Herzog said paperwork kept me in New York. 15 people signed up for the absolute divison and I lost in the semi's. My first match I pulled butterfly guard and worked into the tee-pee but switched to a regular triangle, which the guy waited to long and almost went out.
Next I faced the brown belt, I pulled butterfly and he kinda stood over me. I hit the reaper and finished the heel hook, he looked alittle shocked.
Next was Matt Arroyo, what a tank that guy is, I couldn't get him to move at all. He pretty much stuffed my butterfly attacks and out postioned me for most of the match. I did escape when he had my back and took mount twice. He also sunk in an arm-triangle that was real deep, and I was able to get out of. But I got hit with an armbar in the last 30 seconds.
I think it was a tournament for me, Getting your ass kicked once and awhile never hurt anybody!
