It will never happen unless Dana decides to co promote. Dana could help the sport so much with Co promotion. Imagine the matchups we could have...
    BJ Penn vs Eddie Alvarez
    Gilber Melendez vs George Sots
    Franke Edgar vs Josh Thompson
    Shinya Aoki vs Kenny Florian
Allistair Overeen vs Cain Velasquez... theres a million more possibilities that we'd all love to watch as well. Don't bash the Josh/Frankie suggestion. I think their styles matchup well. I think Edgar would win but I'm a fan of Josh and I think it would be exciting as hell.

I would love those match ups but at this point Strikeforce from a promotional standpoint does not offer much incentive for the UFC to co promote. Why would the UFC co promote with an org that is obviously losing money. Also M-1 Global is hurting strikeforce and
working for their own TV deal with Showtime that will ultimately mean less Strikeforce programming. Having to cower to the M-1 thugs to get Fedor in the cage is hurting the strikeforce product. Which totally sucks because they have a bunch of fighters I love to watch.

The UFC would never co promote I dont think. Dana White is to MMA what Don King was to boxing. Thats why Zuffa buys out any promotion they feel is a threat to them or they even take away star fighters from other promotions as well. In a sense I like the ffact that Fedor does this with Zuffa. It lets them know they cant always have it their way. At the end of the day its not about the best fights in the UFC anymore its about what card can bring in the most money at the gate and on PPV. Even though the co promotion would bring in money the UFC would have to split the money and we already know thats not going to happen!!!!

i wish that in 10-20 years their would only be one pro mma company-ufc...i think this ould be MUCH better than having multiple pro mma companys

That would be horrible for the fighters, a monopoly makes it easy to mis treat athletes. What negotiations can you possibly have when its the only place to go. From a fan prospective it might be great but healthy competition for the services of athletes makes it better for the athletes. Fact is UFC prob ably has the best base talent and if you want to be considered the best you cant keep keep pulling a Fedor and fighting UFC rejects

Co-promotion has killed a few organizations like it did with Affliction, that may not have been the only reason they went under but I don't think it helped, and Dana wants all the glory and he should get it for what he has done with the UFC. I think the contracts could be less restrictive to the fighters who are not champions so we could see some cross-over that would be cool.
