Sorry to shit in your Cheerios fellas but his mom was an American from Kansas. He could have been born on the moon and it wouldn't have mattered. His mom was an American citizen so he is an American by birth. Fact is, if he was Barry O'Malley and his dad was Canadian instead of Kenyan this wouldn't even have been a discussion.
John McCain was NOT born in the U.S. (he was born in the Panama Canal zone -- which was a territory like Guam, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin islands.) and nobody gave two shits. There was no controversy about McCain *maybe* being born in another country. He flat out WAS born in another country -- to parents who were American citizens -- and nobody cared at all. He made ONE press release stating that his legal team checked it out and said everything's cool and it was a non-story. The white guy who was actually born in another country got a free pass without Donald Trump and 40% of registered Democrats climbing up his ass; the black guy didn't. Let's call this shit what it is...
