Maybe Hawaii is and was more accepting of people of "color" than a state like Connecticut. Meaning they Chose not to put " negro " on the birth certificate. By your logic is any American who does not bother to vote not entitled to an opinion on Obama? Does that include one's who are living abroad who can't vote? Those not of voting age etc?
