    camcorder buying advice

I have never purchased a camcorder before, I've read many review sites for suggestions on good buys or good quality recorders... they all suggest different machines... I'm looking for something around the 200-250 range - can I go wrong with that.

Wanting something for grappling tournaments and rolling sessions. Lighting in every building is different :-\

    Any suggestions?

Ps. Newegg didn't have many customer reviews.
My SLR was much easier to buy and research for.

Flip isn't a wise purchase anymore. The company just folded.

Depends on what your looking for, I got a cheap kodak that I really like. The zoom sucks but it shoots really good video and has been durable.

This is sort of my forte =D. I don't make any purchases unless I read multiple reviews on them, esepecially electronics.

    The top rated ones by Consumer Reports are;

    For mini camcorders

    JVC Picsio GC-FM2 for $180

    Kodak PlaySport Zx3 for $135

    both rated a 54

    for normal camcorders

    Panasonic SDR-H85 for $260 rated a 54

    for HD camcorders

    Canon Vixia HF S21 for $1200 rated a 71

    Canon VIXIA HF S200 for $800 rated a 70

Enjoy buddy. Those are your best picks.

I settled for the Panasonic HDC-TM90p/PC

Had to go above my intended price range... time to test it out!!!
