A bout between former Strikeforce champion Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante (10-3 MMA, 3-2 SF) and fellow light heavyweight Ovince St. Preux (10-4 MMA, 4-0 SF) won't be a part of July's "Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson" event after all.

A source close to the show told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that despite reports, the two fighters never agreed to the bout.

Both are expected to be booked for other upcoming fights.

"Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson" takes place July 30 at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The main card, including a Fedor Emelianenko vs. Dan Henderson headliner, airs on Showtime.

When he does return to the cage, Cavalcante will fight for the first time since a March title loss to Henderson. Prior to the defeat, the Brazilian and Black House fighter had posted three straight wins, which included a TKO of Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal for the Strikeforce belt.

St. Preux made a major splash on the Strikeforce scene with three victories (over notables Antwain Briott, Benji Radach and Abongo Humphrey) in just a seven-week span in late 2010/early 2011. All told, the former University of Tennessee linebacker now owns a seven-fight win streak.
