I was really digging the omoplata. I've had a couple really good guys just stand up just like Jon Howard did. Any really good solutions to this?

I thought it was a good fight. Howard had a great kneebar/leg lock attempt to a single leg sweep.. and I thought the omoplata was nice. Idk exactly why he didn't go for the kill on it though.

Looked like he got pushed against the cage and lost leverage on the darce, he had to let go to maintain a good position.I do the normal things for omoplata but against straight beasts at my gym they just seem to end up standing up. I get many omoplatas by keeping the hand in, not letting them roll and or rolling with them. Some people just don't give you any of those options by just standing up as a main defense as Doomsday did. Trying to troubleshoot that.

That's how I saw it. Brown had a really good sliding Darce on Lytle in their fight and Lytle came close to tapping. Lytle is a tough ass bastard and hard to tap though.
