LOL...gotta get in and play every now and then. Besides, I've had this conversation tons of times and it always ends with the same thing. Gi is Gay...well, at least Gi guys keep their clothes on when they roll with other men. =) Can't wait to get up there next time. I'll mess with you like I did David back in the day. I threw my Krav Maga shirt at him after I tapped him because he was making fun of it...I'll throw my Gi top at you if I can catch you of course. You Omaha guys are friggin tough! Derek has you guys on Jiu Jitsu steroids out there!!!
both Ryron & Rener are excellent humans...i've known both for around 12 years...great teachers, super nice guys with a wealth of jiu-jitsu knowledge...
In NAGA this weekend my opponent used my t-shirt as a GI about 20 times, the ref didn't have a problem with it and it sempt pretty effective for controlling me

The topic of this discussion in the end is Gi vs NoGi like we've all seen a million times over in any forum and discussion, just in one of many formats.
I started out a Gi guy, still train Gi, but also thoroughly enjoy NoGi as a style (10th Planet) because it's completely different (to me) than BJJ NoGi. The issue is that there will always be folks that claim Gi is better and those that claim NoGi is better...then you have folks like me that could care less and simply enjoy Jiu Jitsu no matter the apparel you train in.
Each has their benefits and disadvantages over the other and it all boils down to the specific situation you're in. I know for a fact that Cody (if not now, will soon) find that those NE winters can get pretty rough and you will not see anyone stripping down into just their shorts to fight in the street during January. Likewise, you will not find anyone throwing layers of thick clothing one in the middle of July that live in the south. With that, everyone enjoy...much love!
*moot point. I have nothing else to contribute to this argumet besides my first comment. Sorry for being a spelling fascist.
Seriously where can i find more info on this. I would like to research my local laws so i don't get into trouble should the need for violence arise. Would this be covered under the states deadly force laws?
i found it under nevada domestic violence laws, but here is some info...
