Hey guys had a great day reppin 10thp in Australia at the Victorian State Titles and was able to win Gold in the Novice under 79kgs divison

First round i was matched up against a guy from 10th planet Sunshine which sucked, but he also gave me my hardest match of the day, beat him on points but was fairly disappointed with my performance. A combination, of weighing in, as i walked on the mat, after having to cut a bit, travelling 5 hours that morning to get there and fighting a teammate, didn't help, but i'll learn from the match, was very lucky to get away with the points, end score was about 11-8.
2nd round - also went to a decision, felt a lot better this round, and controlled most of the fight, i know the end score was a shut out, think it was about 13 - 0. Really Kicking myself for not finishing him, A) from the back, i went to big trying to transition to an armbar, and b) my RG was a bit loose when trying to finish and he back out a couple of times in transition (i'm a work in progress mind you)
Semi Finals - the guy actually said to me, "your from 10th Planet", i said "yeah", he rolled his eyes and gave me a pffft as he walked on to the mat... 45 seconds later, the ref was waking him up.
Final - guy had a really good guard, i got the take down (first 20 seconds of the fight are missing) and was up in points, was able to be paitient in his guard, frustrating him. first time i pass his guard, i was to anxious, but second time it was all done. Nth Sth has kinda become my go to finish...
- got a little excited at the finish and mess up the gang sign. Sorry guys, was pretty stoked, only my second major Comp!
