US GRAPPLING CHARLOTTE - 5/12/2012 - Silver in Advanced

US Grappling came to Charlotte last Saturday. I ended up taking sliver in advanced no-gi feather and bronze in purple belt gi. Sorry to disappoint Renato. We had a bunch of guys whos matches going on at the same time so all my matches didn't get filmed. Lucky for me my oppenent filmed our match by just popping his iphone up on a tri pod and he filmed my second match for me. I lost in the final by guillotine..oh well. Lesson learned. I haven't tracked down my gi matches yet either.

1st match I won by jap neckite...kind of hard to see. My opponent was a purple belt for Alliance in Georgia.



There was a total of 8 guys in my no-gi division and 6 in my gi divison. I'll try and track down the rest of the videos and post them.

2nd match I won 5-0. I'm not gonna lie...I knew I was up 5-0 and kind of stalled in half guard bottom the last few mintues after I lost top. I got a little cocky and went for a spinning mounted triangle when I lost top position too. Oh well.
