Has anyone died in their dream?

I've heard people say that if you die in your dream, then you die in reality. However, i died in my dream once. It's a complicated scenario but I'll try my best to explain. So in my dream, I was on a water slide, I turn around and I see a huge tsunami and all of a sudden there's a thunderstorm. I get caught up in the water and I basically drown to death (i could feel it in reality.) Then I black out, and I ask myself if i was dead and where I was. Then later, I wake up and I'm lying down in an empty room. Pretty scary stuff.

Is this real life? I don't think I've died in my dreams. I've been shot by assault rifles and in y dream it feels very real but at some point before I die I always wake up

I've died many times in my dreams. I used to feel pain in my dreams, untill I learned to control them. When dreaming, I know that it is just a dream, and I'm able to control them. Sometimes when I dream about zombies, I'll play into it, but when I get bored, I just let them eat me. Anyone else do that?
