No really though, mix up static repetitions *done in perfect form every single rep, which is where a coach is key to have around,* roll "safely" and with people you trust, live rolling often, maybe 2-3 times a week, and most of all, leave your ego at the door. Like Keith Owen says "The journey to black belt is about 10,000 taps." That's YOU tapping out mind you. Never think of a tap, or getting tapped as a loss or a win, but as a learning experience. And most of all, enjoy =D.
