The pharmaceutical industry has been fucked up for a while now... what's going on in south florida right now is rediculous. For those of you who don't know, south florida is the pain killer (oxycodone) capital of the world. I can't drive 2 blocks down here without seeing a pain clinic or dispensary. Thank god they just enacted some new laws that are supposed to help the problem, but I still don't see it ending any time soon. I have so many friends who are hooked on pain killers because of the ridiculous lack of oversight and regulation in the pharmaceutical sector down here. Help spread awareness, tell people about it, hopefully soon it will be exposed enough for it to end.

yeah, this is truly scary (especially if you have children). The psychiatric industry creates labels for "disorders" that can't be proved. Your kid could be labeled ADHD with totally normal mannerisms, and as a parent, be forced to give them drugs, just feeding them more money.

i dont trust medicine in general but i dont have too many alternatives. my current son is healthy as an ox and has the immune system to boot. he received the first years round of shots and it was spread out. i prob wont get him any more and the next son thats on the way will prob get even fewer shots.

autism is at an all time high and it has been linked to the mercury that is in the vaccinations. 1 in 10,000 or more Amish have autism and they do not receive any shots!!!

modern medicine used to be righteous and just, but the system is corrupt and it has become a business instead of what its supposed to be, a service.

What's truly disturbing is that the conditions are not scientifically measured, but voted on. Not scientific, but majority and never even close to unanimous.

I had a friend who was doing his PhD in psychology basically tell me this once, but I didn't take him too seriously. The bigger problem is that right wing supporters of 'the invisible hand of the market', and 'less government regulation', make it impossible to do anything about the problem (because profits are involved).

Free market is supposed to regulate itself and for the better part of over 2 centuries it did. We constantly say how we don't trust the gov yet libs and socialists are for taxes at every turn. This country didn't start paying fed income taxes till 1913 I believe. When things are privatized, you have choices. If you offer lousy services the consumers take their business elsewhere forcing you to either offer better services or fail as a business.the free market self regulates. What we have now is not true free market capitalism, its more like corporate capitalism.
