Update..............Just got back from class. I guess kids mother came in and freaked out, kid had to go for x-rays and may have possible
cracked eye socket. Mother hates me, coach's mad at me because of the trouble it caused. Nobody wanted to roll with me, because I kinda think coach's told everyone to stay away from me as punishment....just a guess. But life kinda sucks right now. Not what I need when trying to get ready for NAGA next week. Need good finish at last 2 tournaments for chance at national title. Told my dad on way home not sure if I'm going, not feeling it right now. Guess I'm a little hurt that my schools treating me like the bad guy instead of having my back. My dad says dont worry about it, he says its buisness. They have some lady in there face yelling at them wanting her son to quit. They are trying to smooth it over to keep a paying student inrolled. That doesn't make me feel any better.

I guess next time, I let the kid take a big chunk out of me, than apologize for having my arm to close to his mouth.

It was a natural reaction Conner, dont beat yourself up over it. Myself and tons of others would have done the exact same thing! That being said, you might think about having a private chat with your coach and explain yourself and let him know you're really a stand up guy that reacted without properly thinking. Cause in hindsight, as much as I hate to say it, the proper reaction should have ended without blows...but like I said im pretty sure I would've naturally reacted exactly how you did. Just take it as a life learning experience brother and keep representing well!

I don't understand how the instructor expected Conner to act. Conner is just a teenager right? I mean this sort of thing happens all of the time between adults so why is Conner expected to have some noble altruistic response to a person biting him when I've seen fights break out over less between two live rolling adults? It's all part of the game, sometimes people lose their cool and they snap... you just step back, apologize for being a tool and restart.

i got bit once by a grown man on my chest while attempting to lock up a guilotine. i can understand why you reacted the way you did man, its a natural reaction. dont let this bother you though man. of course this kids mother is going to be pissed about her son getting cracked, but its over and done with. just put it behind you and focus on your goals. getting that naga certificate in the mail saying your one of the top ranked grapplers of the year is such a sweet feeling man. i highly recomend it.

i wouldn't do it, but conversely your parents could be throwing some heat at your coach. the potential for infection from a bite is far more dangerous than a welt or crack from a punch. has this kid even been made to explain himself or expected to be accountable for his actions?

good point aj. this kid does need to be held accountable for his actions as well.

Another +1 for this. A bite is at least as dangerous if not significantly moreso. Frankly, if I were in the coach's position I'd have balled out the mother for trying to start a problem when it was her kid that caused the whole situation. And I'd make it clear to her the little fuck-trophy isn't allowed back in the gym until he can leave his ego at the door and not act like an animal and bite people.

Sidebar: Conner I do hope you have had a tetanus shot in the last 5-8 years. If not, I very much hope you got one after this.

That clown would probably be walking out needing stiches at a minimum and you can bet that would be last time that dude EVER set foot in the door.
Damn straight. Had D-bag juice head at my gym for awhile, who thought it was approatiate to try to slam everyone out of submission from the guard, no matter how many times I told him not to. I had this 45 year old, semi pro hockey player named Ron that trained with me for about 8-9 years. The man was a stud. Juice Head(after being told about 10x to stop) attempted to slam him out of a triangle. Ron switches to a arm bar at the exact same time as I told Ron "if he slams you break it", Ron says "if you so much as move I will snap your arm and all the juice in the world won't heal it". He was set down like a baby on a changing table.
Same D-Bag later that week trys to suplex Sarkis 290lb(at the time, hes around 245 now) 5x Empire State Games Judo Medalist, and Sambo National silver medalist, after the timer buzzs for the end of the round (Sarkis had stop sparring), the dude jumps to his back grabs a waist lock and tries to pick him up. Sarkis one of the nicest and most helpful guys in the gym(he always takes it easy on the smaller guys making sure to never land on them, squish them, etc), wraps around the dudes arms and Uchi-Mata-Maki-Komis the dude and bounces of the dudes chest. And leaves him splayed out all over the floor like he was just dropped off the empire state building. He finally got the hint and never came back. Homie don't play dat!

Conner, Make sure next time you see me, remind me to show you the Chin Lock/Jaw Lock vs. Some one trying to bite you.
