his lockdown work reminds me of my first match at naga. you could take the video from my match and match it with the first round from this fight and it would be the same. Me and silva both on bottom, lockdown and double underhooks holding on for dear life!

I have the same problem as Anderson with the lockdown - really effective at stopping people, but I can't seem to progress my game from there. Tonight in rolling (against a big heavy guy) I got him in lockdown and he was stuck completely, but even though I got the double underhooks I just couldn't whip him up - when I 'whipped' the leg up, the rest of his body didn't move - his leg just went up in the air a bit - his hips and upper body stayed on me and he was too heavy to bench press off me.

(tried to roll him the other way, but he kept basing his arm - i fought for the arm, but gave up after that continued too long). After what felt like a long time I gave up, released the lockdown and turtled, then fought back to get to into his guard.

    What am I doing wrong?

they need to make some changes to make the fights more real and exciting, it seams like the fights are getting worse (more worked) refs always stepping in, guys fighting not to loose instead of to win (if you know what i mean)...

maybe make no ref stoppage and no decisions, you just keep fighting until there is a knock out or submission and looser gets no purse

i dont know the answer, but something needs to change or we will soon have more wwf

Anderson always stalls when he's on bottom. He did the same in Pride. It's his strategy, from guard, half, mount, he always tries to clinch and stall. I think he really sucks when mounted, but Chael didn't posture up. Silva has long and thin legs, I think it might affect him when mounted. the lock-down was beautiful though, just wish he ha done something offensive with it.
