About to compete in my 4th tourney (first one in 6 months) and I am very nervous

So I am competing in this tourney www.nabjjf.com/lonestar_tournament.htm this sunday. I have seen this coming for a couple of months now so I have done nothing but bust my ass off getting in shape. Unfortunately I have not been able to roll at all during this time because of financial, work and school obligations keeping me from the gym so I had to settle for just physical conditioning at home with my free time. I have been training for almost 3 years, and am still a white belt because of the various times I had to take off training for school and what not. With that said I am confident in my skill considering I won second place in gi and no gi at my last tourney and because of the input from my coaches last time I worked with them

    However.

The roster list for the tournament was released and I did some scoping of the competition by looking people up on facebook (creepy isnt it?), and lets just say I have my work cut out for me. I am in the no gi lightweight division mens adult intermediate. I assumed most of these people were blue belts maybe a purple belt here or there and I was right. On top of that one of the guys is a pro mma fighter and all these guys save for one, look very intimidating. They all have lots of tourneys under there belts and some have fights obviously, so basically I am the least experience and lowest ranked guy in the division. I entered this division because I have competed in intermediate before and won silver, but it was a smaller tourney and competition was not as stiff. I love a challenge, but there is a good chance I wont be winning this one.

Ive been around the block, I know my stuff, and I am in the best shape of my life at the moment. But I know when I am the underdog and its right now. the plus side is I am going to be one of the bigger guys , only being a pound or two short of the 163 pound limit. If you guys can offer me words of encouragement, or some advice on strategy, anything to keep my spirits up in this last week of training. I will be able to finally get some mat time, though its a little late in the game but maybe it will get some of the rust off. Thanks guys wish me luck!

not that im such a pro either but ill put in my ten cents. if u think youll be big and strong compared to these guys then start off trying the submissions like kimura and americana. easy to practice and is more of a strength game. or just work on control, hold him there and work on points etc. personally id go for the first option but yeah, dunno if thatll help.

maybe push the pace f u think youve got better cardio than them. get them to gas and then go for something.

good luck and id love to hear how it goes for ya. 10th planet!!!
