Deep pain, left side of back when I move and take a full breathe

Wondering if anyone else has ever had this, or knows what it might be. I probably will go to the doctor later today though. When rolling, Jeff put me in S-mount, he reached around and grabbed his foot to make it even tighter. It was so tight, I almost tapped from it. However, I fought through it until he decided to submit me with an armbar. After the roll, I felt fine.

The next day, I woke up and could barely get out of bed. It hurt so bad. I had my girlfriend push around on my back to try and pinpoint the exact spot where it hurt, but I couldn't pinpoint it. It just hurts so bad when i try to move around and/or take a deep breathe.

chances are you have a strained back muscle i had the same problem, once and couldn't even breath without pain, especially on deep breaths, i had to leave work early, & go home and lay on the floor and streach, it took like a 4 days to be completly gone, and i had to sleep on more stable surfaces and streach a lot

If it is a back strain or back spasms use ice packs and ibuprofen, these will both help with the infalmation. It should be sore fore 5-10 days. Hope you feel better soon, bro.

It could possibly be a cracked rib, but most likely its muscle pain. Like Andrew said Ice and Ibuprofen are your best bets. I would even venture to say use a little bit of heat with a topical cream or a heating bad to loosen it up as well.

Foam Roller may help as well to add to the list of treatment. Thai Linament after training or working out may help as well.

Had it checked out, Doc said it's a thoracic strain. gave me some meds for it, and am feeling better already. Said I should be good to compete this Saturday. thanks for the well wishes and info, gentlemen.
