LOL one of my old training partners of about 135lbs used that exact same technique when some steroid head started on him and pushed him outside the fish and chip (fries) shop. Put him to sleep in like under 10 seconds. Also the police arrived, and they didn't arrest my pal. :-)

This. If you drill the shit out of it, with several variations, you can be behind your opponent with the choke sunk in under 3 seconds. It's worked for me beautifully. It is the move that I show non athletes and girls when they wanna learn self defense along with proper stance and hair pulling defense for the girls.

Why take it to the ground when not necessary? First give yourself an option to finish without being vulnerable to getting kicked or stomped. You can still get blind sided, but when executed properly the entire sequence can be started and finished as fast as possible imo.

After the arm drag, it would be a duck under to back to rnc. I would lead with my forehead into his jaw. Imperative to capitalize on the average persons tendency to not tuck their chin and their assumption that you will want to face him.

I feel 3 sweeps and three subs are to much for beginners to grasp.

I would teach a mount escape to hip bump sweep or kimura attack off failed sweep.

    And buy some mace

same move for me arm drag to rnc or duck under to arm triangle while still standing or head snap down to standing arm triangle while still standing. Non trained peoples are easy to arm triangle and arm drag.

Ill lead with the forehead to the jaw for weapon disarming. Dog Brothers -Die Less Often dvd set-
