There's tons of resources online at your disposal. reddit.com/r/bjj, Submissions 101, etc.
For 10th Planet specifics, you could buy the DVDs where they start from square one so you sort of have a better understanding of what's going on in the technique videos.
In terms of learning. I recommend you look into the history of the art first.

Then once you start to grasp the concepts of BJJ and 10th Planet, you can start to learn basic positions. You should know the difference between half-guard, full-guard, side-control, etc. Once you familiarize yourself with positioning, you move onto sweeps and transferring between positions. Then maybe after all that, you can start learning your first submission.
