Hmm so basically hit an armdrag then roll him right into the truck. I bet that would work pretty smoothly.
Arm drag straight into the truck is money until they realize every time you arm drag its a truck a happening then they fall down to try and pull guard.

When you have the outside lockdown and drag the arm, instead of going to the truck, you can also power-half directly to the twister.

Im also stoned and drunk so forgive me. But seriously get his outside arm out of the way so you can sit up and then roll. I discussed this with my friend Brandon Mc from Decatur and he really didn't understand because it was a new idea by me. But I used it one night when rolling I think if he remembers ( not against him tho) and i think he saw it. But now i use it all the time. I love the truck.
A gym mate of mine was showing me some cool transitions last night, since he saw that I was working the twister roll. One of the strongest ones was a wrestler's switch to a spladle (kind of like a banana split) off of a low single leg. The inside hooking leg is the same dynamic as the twister roll, the transition is looser due to the lack of a grapevine, but it works smoothly as a transition to the back or the truck instead of the spladle.

Just for fun, a picture of a spladle..

Its funny to get people into the spladle. I'm trying to find other ways into but so far I've only go the way off the single leg and I found a transition from the crucifix as well. Never thought of just going to the truck from the spladle. Thank you for that sir.
Another good example of the spladle is in the Joe Stevensen/Nate Diaz fight.

I'm fairly sure you can see Eddie using outside Lockdown in his first round ADCC trials match.

I've really started to mix my half-guard game up a lot between the two. I can transition to deep-half easier from traditional half-guard, but have been doing lockdown for longer and am much more familiar with the sweeps. I personally think they compliment each other very well and gives your opponent a lot more to think about.
