10h planet NJ/NYC area.

someone help me out here. a few months ago (august i think) the guys at 10thpjj on facebook said a 10th planet academy was opening up in mt olive, nj, but i guess it fell thru. i live in morris county and the closest 10th planet to me is in Delaware. lame. there is a whole big buncha folks up here who have seen your system, eddie, and are salivating to train it. NJ and NYC are gettin fed up w instructors telling us to "stick to tradition" and that "a bjj game thats too creative shows a lack of fundamental undersatanding. there are several locations in my are i could rattle off as great places for a 10thpjj school. and the business opp is great. offering a trial class near nyc could spike membership hikes round the globe when visitors to my area check out 10thpjj and pick it up back home.

also, my arm is curfrently broken ia a nasty fall in a kickboxing spar, and i can't train for 4 months, so i'm trying to be proactive. i'm in no way asking for an academy by then, or ever, but plz, eddie and the 10th planet crew, capitalize on this opportunity.

Hey Brian, I'm from Long Island, NY and have the same interests in that topic as you did. I'm currently working out the details for myself to spend a day up in CT to train with 10th Planet Hartford, and I reached out to John directly. Luckily I actually spoke with him yesterday and one of the things he mentioned was that they were still working out the logistics, & the dynamics with coming down So hopefully something will come out of that soon.

But if you have a few guys that are interested together, then I'd rep out with them as much as possible using the DVD's and Books as gospel! )

Hey Brian. As far as I know, 10th Planet in Mt. Olive is still in the works. The dude who runs it, Rob Bradley, trains with Eddie all the time. He definitely knows his stuff. They're definitely active, just under the radar until they become official.

Hey all-first, there are several guys in the area repping 10th Planet-myself, Kevin Green, Rob Bradley, Neale Hearle, and of course-Chris Herzog. I'd say Rob, Kevin, and Myself are closest in the NYC/NJ area, it just depends where you are.
Yes, I'm still working out logistics. Doing something at The Wat doesn't look good because of available times and scheduling. However, I'm trying to brainstorm a way to make this happen for you guys. If we can determine an alternate location that had some time, that would be great. Be certain to e-mail me at: john@snemma.com so I can keep everyone in the loop. If you have a location, or school that would be interested in hosting me for a seminar, that would be an excellent way to get everyone together, introduce the system, and get the ball rolling. Let me know as I continue to look into alternatives.

What town r u from dude? I live in Huntington Sta. I train at Serra BJJ in Huntington, not a lot of guys doing any 10th planet stuff other than myself. It's a great academy though, you should check it out, you might like it.
